River Diamonds Updates Progress Made in Eastern Sierra Leone

The specific area on the eastern edge of the project, Pandubo Blow, was previously mined by artisanal workers to a depth of approximately 12 metres below the surface. The artisanal work ceased as the kimberlitic rock became too hard to mine using manual methods. Historically, several large stones were recovered from this deposit, including a 50 carat diamond. The junior miner also discovered a new dyke of unknown length, the Nboinayuihun Dyke, where sampling commenced immediately in order to define the dimensions of this fissure and has already yielded diamonds.
