The ever impressive Maryland soccer team were the proud winner of the tournament and were presented with the Ishmael Dyfan trophy. They defeated California by penalty kicks and they in turn got the Brima Attouga trophy. In attendance were about 3,000 mostly Sierra Leoneans including some former Leone Stars players namely:- Sento Johnson, Mazolla, Leslie Allen, Akie Noah, T. Mamoud, John Dumbuya, Chairman Foday, Sylbil Decker, Aliman, DD Abu, Abu Dyfan just to name a few. According to Sento Johnson, former Captain of leone stars and Real Republicans, the idea was initiated couple years ago to bring Sierra Leoneans together once a year in a picnic like environment to show case their soccer skills. Initially, he said, it started with 3 states ( New York, Maryland and New Jersey), but has now risen to 14 namely:-New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, Virginia, Ohio, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, Georgia, Delaware, North and South Carolina.

So, it is election time in Sierra Leone and crazies like Sia Tiyaama and his (her) ilk are out in the open spreading half truths, distortions of facts, and outright lies. I have read ad nauseam the pontifications of the so-called professor Sia Tiyaama on a number of issues relating to Sierra Leone in Awareness Times and other online media. I have come to the conclusion that Tiyaamas diatribes only generate heat and no light. Professor Bookman Tiyaama, free speech entitles you to your opinion, not to distortion of facts or the truth! Before proceeding further, this writer would like to know whether the name Sia Tiyaama is a nom de plume or nom de guerre (you seem to be waging a dirty war against certain individuals and groups). It is alleged that the name belongs to two persons who collaborate, serving as agents provocateurs…
He is not a flame thrower. Tiyaama trashes Mr. Koromas agenda for Sierra Leone, describing it as no better than a class monitors manifesto. You must not have read the document. I have read the manifestos of the APC, SLPP, and PMDC and only a moron and intellectual or moral cretin would describe any of the manifestos as laughable or pathetic.
