I have the strongest conviction also that the author meant to further expose and ridicule a popular corrupt politician and opportunist – Victor High Barb Foh, whose presence in the new APC is not only an embarrassment but a bitter reminder of three decades of mismanagement, corruption, gross violations of human and peoples rights that triggered the eleven-year brutal war which set Sierra Leone 50 years backwards. Afterwards, Mr Alex Bai Koroma of the opposition party was returned as the winner. The people of Sierra Leone had learned from the bitter experiences of their history. Relevant Links West AfricaNigeria In our context, President Yar'Adua may be the real reformist Nigeria has been longing to have. If history is anything to go by, after every century, Nigeria has been witnessing major socio-political changes. At least, we have witnessed this in the last two centuries. In 1804 to 1806, there was the Sokoto Jihad that gave pious political leadership to the Sokoto Caliphate, present-day Northern Nigeria and beyond.
