Sierra Leone: Ibru, Koroma Dialogue On Sierra Leone’s Development

(Mrs) Cecilia Ibru, has held discussions with the president of Sierra Leone, Mr. Ernest Bai Koroma, on areas of development needs of the country, which recently emerged from a decade of devastating civil war. At a meeting in Freetown, the Sierra Leonean capital, both Dr. Ibru and President Koroma shared ideas on ways to enhance speedy growth of Sierra Leone’s economy through trade liberalisation as well as legal and regulatory reforms.

Concerns have been raised both locally and internationally over the spate of drug trafficking in the West Africa sub-region. This has reportedly warranted security personnel to institute searches on people wishing to travel in and out of the country. Miss University crownedA twenty-year old student of the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology (MMCET), Khadijatu Sall has reportedly been crowned Miss University 2007 in a Miss University Beauty Contest past Friday. Khadijatu is said to have expressed her elation by saying that it is a pride to the Polytechnique College since this is the first time the crown has gone into their direction.
