Steering the ship of state for 100 days is itself an achievement, especially given the bitterly contested elections which his APC party won with a smack of controversy. In developed democracies, hundred days are what is allotted to any emerging leadership for the public to start making informed and critical assessments of its achievements and failings. The tradition has filtered down to upcoming democracies, among which Sierra Leone can be named. In these first hundred days of the leadership of President Koroma, therefore, it is but fitting that the performance of his government is put under scrutiny, as it would help to give an indication of what the future holds in store for the nation.
