Libya Donates Tractors to Sierra Leone
Tripoli Post, Libya
The presentation of the tractors, flown into the country in a special flight, was made at State House by Libyan ambassador to Sierra Leone Dr. Mohamed Alharari Abdulsalam. The donation is in line with the Libyan leader Muammar Al-Qathafi’s green programme, an initiative designed by the leader to achieve food sufficiency in Africa.

First year progress report : President Koroma is right on track
Cocorioko, Sierra Leone
Failure is not an option, as President Koroma loudly and clearly echoed in the ears of both his ministers and civil servants. There is always one outcome when running the affairs of state, and that is one either fails because of incompetence, or succeed by delivering the goods. Regrettably, the Kabbah SLPP government decided to connect with the former, and today they are living a luxurious life with their family while the people of Sierra Leone are suffering. Most of these former SLPP ministers were poor people prior to their appointment as ministers ; now they are basking in riches that were plundered from the coffers of our treasury.

Welcome to the epicentre of your support base, Mr. President

The President is coming to the nerve centre of his support base. And never a more thrilling event ! ! ! From the moment President Ernest Koroma declared his intentions to become President of Sierra Leone, loyalists in the U. came out in full support and they have remained supportive of the government , come rain, come shine. They are determined to support the President to the bitter end. It was indeed here in U.

Steven Wilson: Wha’s like us…

« Previous « Previous Next » Next » View Gallery Published Date: 21 September 2008 WHATEVER happened to the heroes? Look no further than former Paratrooper Steven Wilson, 32, from Dumfries. In his previous action role, Steven had helped rescue British hostages in Sierra Leone, where he was injured by a mortar bomb. But even though he now works in a plastics recycling factory, Steven didn’t give up on heroics when he left the armed forces. His training doubtless helped him respond when he saw a car crash which left a woman pinned in her burning car on the M6 in Lancashire. But how many of us would have the strength â and indeed the bravery â to run to the car and bend back the door with our bare hands to free her. Indeed, other drivers looked on at the aftermath of last week’s crash as Steven ran to the rescue.

Leeroy Kabs-Kanu, informative online publication Cocorioko Editor, it is apparent that the Sierra Leone community in New Jersey cannot wait to see President Koroma addressing them this afternoon at the Rutgers University campus,” Sheka Tarawalie, alias Shekito, wrote. The President arrives in New York at 12:31 pm local time and will be escorted by Sierra Leonean officials and the US Secret Service to his hotel. Among the President’s delegation will be some cabinet ministers and State House officials of great relevance to the summit.

Located in Sierra Leone, the orphanage was a sanctuary for children affected by a decade-long civil war. There the third-year global studies student met a 17-year-old named Stephen Michael. Rebel groups had split Michaelâs family during the civil war, and after eight years, he had no knowledge of the whereabouts of his parents. Already an orphan, Michael was also confined to a wheelchair and was unable to walk because of polio. Nevertheless, four days a week, Hamby pushed his new friendâs wheelchair into a village called Wonde where Michael helped build a church.
