Addressing a press conference in the conference room of the law courts building the Master and Register Elwyn Bailor said the claims were far from the truth and that the police’s deliberate use of the word ‘release’ was done to deceive the populace. Bailor who sounded a bit angry while addressing the press said the named criminals who included men facing charges for murder and robbery like the notorious Abubakarr alias ‘mad lion’ Osman Kafrie Kamara Sonny Brainard and Madezekeil were discharged simply because the police failed in their responsibility to produce witnesses.

Ama Osei a first year student studying financial services at the institute of public administration and management (IPAM) told Concord Times that she was in a better position to clinch this year’s event. Local unit commander (LUC) of Kissy police station chief superintendent Thames Mustapha Lahai and assistant superintendent in charge of crimes at the Congo cross police station Sheku Tejan Kamara made the joint statement during the weekly police press briefing in Freetown.
