His statement made to the police was read and tendered in court by detective police corporal Claude Brima. The accused said he landed the plane at the Freetown airport without any authority but said he was also forced to do so because the plane was fast running out of fuel. “The aircraft contained cocaine drugs and 34 plastic containers of fuel from the port of take off onto the port of destination” he disclosed.

He acknowledged the health minister Dr. Soccoh Kabia’s relentless efforts to improve the conditions of service of staff the hospitals and peripheral health units as well as government’s commitment to make available quality accessible and affordable health care delivery services for its people nationwide. Koroma encouraged staff of the ministry to continue to exercise patience as their sacrifices would in the near future become a fruitful venture.
