Leone political parties sign deal to end violence14 hours agoFREETWN (AFP) — Sierra Leone’s rival political parties — which were involved in bloody clashes last month — on Thursday signed an agreement brokered by the international community to end the violence. In March violence flared up between supporters of President Ernest Koroma’s All People’s Congress (APC) and the main opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). Tensions came to a head with an attack on the SLPP party headquarters on March 16 which left some 20 people wounded. Six women also reported they had been raped during the clashes. The agreement dubbed a peace deal by diplomats urged “an end to political fracas among all political parties in the country” adding that “nobody is above the law. “”The police will be impartial and undertake their job correctly against anyone regardless of political affiliation” it added.

What he said in reply was: “It is an advert”. When quizzed as to why he could afford to advertise such mortifying and injurious thing about somebody’s reputation he said “I have a Master’s degree in Communication and nobody teaches me how to practice journalism”. I decided that I should report the matter to the IMC for such a manifest disregard for ethics and laws of journalistic practice by somebody claiming to have such level of education in journalism and once Acting President of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists. Secondly I called up Mr. Umaru Fofanah who is now President of the association and discussed the matter with him; he forthrightly agreed with me that nobody has the right to advertise some body’s reputation in that manner. I called up my lawyer and is going to write both men for court action. But in the interim I have decided to come out with this piece to clear my reputation in the eyes of the public on such unscrupulous and damaging publications.

Former Pay Master of The Sierra Leone Armed Forces in Hot Soup
Standard Times Press
Among the ten commandments in the book of Exodus 20:15 it is stated “Thou shalt not steal” It is unclear whether or not the Chief Accountant of the Ministry of Mines has ever peeped or browsed through the ten commandments to observe that part portion which talks about stealing. Paul Kamara a former pay and quarter master of the Sierra Leone Armed Forces is a disrespecter of Exodus 20:15. While he was pay and quarter master of the Armed Forces he benefited from the non accountability and non transparency of the military until he was shown the exit door. Whether his activity was in excess that saw his back from the military or he was not handling the finances of the Armed Forces satisfactorily as is now evident in his current engagement with the Ministry of Mineral Resources is unclear. Although he now appears to be a worried man shuttling between State House and Parliament trying to canvass support from some government officials and Parliamentarians to use political influence and set him free from what is currently hovering around his head. The news when finally becomes public knowledge would urge the Anti Corruption Commission or the police to squeeze what is left of Mr.
