The seminar was organized in commemoration of the 20th anniversary since the death Imam Khomeini. Iranian ambassador to Sierra Leone Dr. Nusratullah Maliki said the day marked the 20th anniversary of demise of Imam Khomeini the founder of the Islamic revolution in Iran. She said the church has established three schools in Freetown and one in Bendu in addition to health clinics in some parts of the country. Pastor Adeboye said the Redeemed Christian Church of God mission was established in 1952 by a man she referred to as an illiterate who started praying together with friends of the same age and later development the idea of establishing a church. “He could not read or write but God helped him choose the name of the church.

The three -day visit which lasted from the 19th to the 22nd of May 2009 was cordially hosted by the National African Peer Review Mechanism -Governing Council of Ghana (NAPRM-GC). The three-day intensive discussions and visits to relevant stakeholder institutions that were engaged in the APRM implementation process in Ghana centered on critical issues bordering on the effective functioning of the established national APRM structures maintenance of credibility integrity technical competence and professionalism; mobilization of financial and other critical resources ensuring the independence of the APRM National Governing Council broad-based involvement of all identifiable national stakeholders preparations for the review recruitment of competent research institutions through a transparent process preparation of the various APRM reports and the post APRM review phase.
