Taylor also gave a chronology of steps that he took as president of Liberia to bring the conflict to Sierra Leone to a peaceful conclusion. Davidson explained that since its inception in the early 1980s it has been the ministry of Energy and Power. He said this fails to fully reflect the activities within the ministry and the government’s change of name to Energy and Water Resources of which Power is one such resource. He highlighted all activities within the ministry which cover those relating to all energy produced and used in Sierra Leone namely petroleum resources electricity or power resources and alternative energy resources. He said this effort is aimed at reflecting all adequately defined activities in the proposed new professional energy division within the ministry.
